Comments and Suggestions

Hi everyone,
We will be placing a post every month so people can get the chance to put in their suggestion on what we could do to make our park even better. We know you have other choices and we appreciate that you stay with us. Please leave you feed back .
This was a request last year for groups to use our bar for their meeting and parties. If you have a club or organization and have rented 20 spaces or more its yours free to use, contact me.

Thank you
Gus Brown Fonda
General Manager

Our stay was great. Took the ultralight ride over the park and into town. Got some great pictures of the park and the surrounding area. Rode the dune buggies outside of the park - fun! Great sunsets, liked PP and the people there - very friendly to visitors.

Hi, Please fix the electric boxes. For some reason you do not hook up the ground wires in the boxs. The new big coaches will not work if the electric is not right. Also in the past the electric has been to high coming in to the park and our coach will not let the electric in and we must run our generator
Thanks Gary

Thanks Gary
for the heads up most times things get over looked when people dont report or let us know whats going on. The past month we have gone thru the park and made a supplies list for all the electrical boxes and are cleaning them up. We have been working with the state to better control the incoming volts/amps but to no efforts from them. We have turned the dial on our transformers down completely. But we will continue our efforts to better service the spaces for all of you to enjoy. If anyone else has had troubles or other ideas that may help please let us know.

Hello Reef RV Park, We stayed in our coach for about 1 month --2 winters ago, we so enjoyed the beach , the people, and PP. The only negative comment we have is Fireworks. We have pets and are grateful they are allowed there but the sale and usage needs to be controlled for certain times of the year not every night or the weekends, I realize they were not allowed in the park, but still were sold out front on beach and widely used in your "Dry camp" area. We go to Mazatlan as well and you just don't see this. Thankyou, Priscilla and Bob Avey

Thank you, Priscilla and Bob for your feedback. I do see where the confusion with many people come from since most people refer to the dry camping are being part of The Reef. The "Dry Camping" area is another company and The Reef S.A. de C.V only handles The Reef RV Park, The Reef Resturaunt, and The Reef Bar. By law (most) fireworks are legal, there are some exceptions since they are considered explosives. How ever the home owners of RP, and The Reef have complained so much to the city that this is what has happened since Jan. 1st, 2008:
"You are here now notified that if someone reports you datenating fire works on the beach after 7:00 o'clock PM. You will be arrested and taken downtown to pay the fine according to Mexican Public Ordance Law: Chapter six, Arrticle 174, section I and VII. Fines are to be paid at the police station
I will also start this as a new post for everyone to know the law.

is Gus Brown actually managing the park? The Gus Brown of Esmerelda?

Dear Anonymous,
You are thinking of Gus Brown Jr. when you refer to Esmerelda.
I am Gus Brown III
General Manager of The Reef RV Park
and owner of this blog. Although we are all owned and operated thru our corporate office Groupo SBR this blog is to assist in posting information to help visitors and Q & A's on The Reef RV Park.

I have been staying at the Reef for about ten years now and we love it. One improvement I would like to see is cable TV hookup for each site. We love the winter time down there but we also love our sports and American channels. Have you thought of making this improvement like other RV companies in Rocky Point have done?

Thanks Tom for your feedback.
We have had that discussion before with our parent company, but we do not see us installing cable in the park in the near future. It has been added to the quartley meetings list that we will review as more suggestions come in. Since April 2004 less then 15 people have requested cable.

We enjoy coming down to PP and staying at the Reef. We would love to see more beach parking.. but love it none the less. I am curious as to if anyone has a great website to purchase our MX insurance? Thanks and keep up the great work.

We love the Park. My Family has camped there since I was a child, back in the 80's, when there was No "RV Park", just dry camping. The Park amenities make it much more comfortable to camp now.
Tom, I would suggest you do as we do. We have DirecTV at home and we carry a satellite dish w/ our RV, our kids Love it, and so do we! Now we have home channels wherever we travel.
